Make a difference. Every day.
Are you our next colleague? We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable chemist or biomedical laboratory scientist who wants to be part of our dedicated radio pharmacy team and contribute to the manufacturing and development of radioactive medicines that make a difference for patients in diagnostics and treatment! Together, we contribute to first-class cancer care and dementia diagnostics with a strong link to research and development in close collaboration with Lund and Malmö Universities.
The radio pharmacy operations at Nuclear Medicine Physics play a central role within Region Skåne and are responsible for the manufacturing and handling of radioactive medicines. We produce short-lived radiopharmaceuticals daily for the diagnosis of, among other things, cancer and dementia diseases. With the help of our own cyclotrons and advanced synthesis modules, we ensure that our production maintains the highest quality. All our products are analyzed using various chromatographic techniques immediately after synthesis. Our team consists of approximately 40 experts in chemistry, pharmacy, engineering, physics, and biomedicine.
1 position(s).
Job Description
We manufacture several different short-lived radioactive medicines daily in the form of sterile injection solutions. Each production batch must undergo approved quality control before the medicine can be administered to a patient. Since our radioactive medicines have a short shelf life (two to ten hours), the entire manufacturing chain must be carefully planned logistically, and close collaboration between personnel in production, quality control, quality assurance (QA), transport, and the clinic is essential. We work closely together in groups, but you will have independent responsibility after thorough and extensive internal training. Your tasks will be adapted to your background, interests, and our needs.
As part of our team, you play a central role in the production of radioactive medicines. You work both in the laboratory and with documentation, and you are involved in improvement work and quality assurance of radioactive medicines.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Manufacturing and/or quality control of radioactive medicines according to GMP regulations
- Documentation according to GMP regulations
- Troubleshooting and investigations
- Continuous improvement work
- Qualification and maintenance of equipment
Our production is morning and morning-shift intensive so that the medicines can be used on the same day. Therefore, you need to be on-site from 06:00 one to two days a week, while other days may have more flexible working hours.
Qualifications
We welcome you who have an academic education as an analytical chemist, biomedical laboratory scientist, organic chemist, or equivalent. Proficiency in the Swedish language at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement as all documentation is in Swedish. Practical experience in laboratory work is desirable.
If you also have knowledge and experience in the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience working in a quality-assured environment according to GMP regulations
- Experience in aseptic work/cleanroom work
- Experience from working with chromatographic analyses
- Experience in having instrument responsibility
- Experience from working with LIMS systems
- Experience from qualification and validation processes
- Knowledge of PET chemistry and work with radioactivity
- Knowledge of GMP documentation
You who apply are curious to learn new things, enjoy challenges, and are proactive. You are attracted to working in a solution-focused team with fast decision-making paths. To be successful in the role, it is important that you are meticulous, structured, and responsible. You have the ability to work both independently and in a team with a genuine drive that contributes to the group's success. You are flexible and can handle changes with short notice. As a person, you are social, communicative, and have the ability to build trust and collaborate well with colleagues. We value a positive work environment and look forward to welcoming you who want to contribute to creating a pleasant and successful work climate. Always ready to make a difference for the patients!
In this process, we use continuous selection. We look forward to hearing from you and how you can contribute to our team. Warmly welcome with your application!
